A Day in the Yukon

So I figured I may as well continue to post our experiences out here in the blog. Even though our roadtrip is over and we now have a new home north of 60, our adventures continue!

Yesterday (February 4, 2012), we went to go dogsledding! Lau's coworkers have a friend who lives about 15min from our place and they have about 25 dogs.

Let's tango!

We chose the dogs we will use to pull the sled. Every dog is very friendly to people, just some are more excited than others! The dogs varied in age, anywhere from 2 yrs to 7yrs old. The dog just to the right of me is one of the leaders, 7yrs old, who came from a line of natural dogsled dogs.

We had a blast!! After sledding we made a fire in the snow and roasted some hot dogs and drank some wine!

So just to keep you posted on the daylight we have up here now, the sun now rises just after 9AM and sets after 5PM. Big difference from a month or so ago when it rose at 1030AM and set at 330PM!!
