It was a very snowy drive as you can see.
As the hours went by Lau's lead foot got heavier and heavier and look what Santa brought her! Ya no break on that one!!
"Going to Whitehorse eh, well you're going there a lil too fast." - Officer Buttface
We veered off the highway to check out Kenora. Very nice town, I'm sure it's much more beautiful in the summer. Picture of the big muskie.
This was Lau's first time entering the Province of Manitoba (my first time driving through it). We found it very cool how all the trees just stopped and then we just saw vast prairies. Ya after seeing them for maybe 2 minutes it gets old!!!
We stayed at the Humphry Inn on Main St, right in the heart of Winnipeg (very nice room but the HOTTUB WAS BROKEN!!!!!). Lau is still crying... We had supper at Earl's, it was incredibly delicious:
Kyle's meal:
7 oz Porterhouse steak in peppercorn sauce w/ garlic mash and fresh squash/beet/yam
Lau's meal:
Cajun blackened chicken, most amazing coleslaw ever and delicious warm? potato salad
...our appetizer was this amazing cold nachos, fried wontons instead of chips, tuna, jalapenos, cheese, soy, chives, mango coulis. Daaaamn good
P.S. Sorry the blog took long to update, the internet wasn't very nice to us!
