We took a break from the long days of driving and visited my relatives in Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie. In the morning I stopped by my Oma & Opa's (My dad's parents) place to have brunch. We even got a surprise visit from Berndt-Dieter!! It was really nice to stop by and see them on the way! (Opa, if you can send me some pics that you took, I will be happy to add them!)
After that we went to stop by my Grandma & Grandpa over in Stonewall (20min north of Winnipeg) for some coffee and sweets. From there we went on to my cousin Deric's place and just about the entire crew was there! We enjoyed a few more beer and sweets and then went on to my Aunt Wendy and Dave's place in Portage La Prairie, MB.
The next day we started out with a "Canadian Safari", we took out the topless jeep toured around the Assiniboine river.
This may have been Lau's favourite part of the trip. TRACTOR!!
We're celebrating New Year's Eve a day early since we needed to drive to Calgary early on New Year's Day.
